Records of the Office of the Inspector General that are not exempt from disclosure under the California Public Records Act and other applicable laws are available to members of the public. To request public records or to learn more about the process, please see the below guidelines.
Records are available for inspection during regular business hours and may be requested in person, by US mail, or through email:

Inspection of records will be allowed upon conditions determined by the OIG. Upon either the completion of the inspection or the oral request of OIG personnel, the person conducting the inspection shall relinquish physical possession of the records. Persons inspecting OIG records shall not destroy, mutilate, deface, alter, or remove any such records from the OIG.
The OIG reserves the right to have OIG personnel present during the inspection of records in order to prevent the loss or destruction of records. The OIG may refuse to disclose any records which are exempt from disclosure under the Public Records Act. (See, e.g., Gov. Code § 6254 et seq.)
Copies of records that are not exempt from disclosure are available upon prepayment of the copying costs (10 cents per page).
