Our latest report details our oversight of the CDCR internal investigations and disciplinary cases we monitored and closed between Jan-June 2024. Of the 197 cases, we rated 31 sufficient, 101 sufficient with recommendations, and 65 insufficient.

New Sentinel Report: CDCR permitted a male correctional administrator to remain employed after sexually harassing female subordinate staff, making derogatory and obscene comments, and engaging in abhorrent behaviors that violated CDCR’s EEO policies.

In August, we reviewed 702 grievances while monitoring CDCR’s process for routing grievances for investigation, local inquiry, or treatment as routine. We've published our overall assessment of those 702 grievances and summaries of eight noteworthy cases.
